Photography — U.P.S. Model Shots
When we opened U.P.S. we took influence, for the most part, from stores outside of skateboarding. Businesses like Incu, Supply Store, Kith, Supreme, Sundays were all on our “mood” board. Our original business partner, Nick Denton from Capsule, had beautifully designed and curated, contemporary menswear stores which influenced heavily as well. It was a great recipe to create a boutique styled, core skate shop in a City that desperately needed a modern day skate shop.
It sounds pretty tall poppy-ish but we lead the way in the curated skate shop world, there’s a lot of skate shops like U.P.S. now - it’s very flattering to see.
Out of all that, I had a great platform to create a visual identity for the shop with my photography. In the days of Instagram before the ‘algorithm’ we built up a great following utilising our team, friends and customers as models. I pulled a selection of my ‘on body’ pics from over the years below!
Huge thanks to everyone who modelled for me!
